Born in Winnipeg, Canada and raised on a Manitoba farm, Lawrence Lannoo left home to pursue interests in writing and film making. After obtaining his Master's degree from the University of North Dakota, he worked as both reporter and editor for community newspapers in Canada and the United States. He attended Vancouver Film School and began work as an independent film maker, an occupation he continues to pursue after having his work exhibited across the world in film festivals and across Canada on cable television networks. He now continues that pursuit while writing for The Baldur-Glenboro Gazette and The Pilot Mound Sentinel newspapers.
